Ausar Dominick Scott-Thomas, of Philadelphia, PA, was a remarkable individual whose impact was truly unique. In his 21 years, he created lasting memories for those around him. Ausar exemplified the true meaning of friendship, demonstrating loyalty and a positive spirit. His joyful attitude and uplifting presence were inspiring and memorable. Anyone fortunate enough to have known Ausar can attest to the lasting influence he had on their lives.
Ausar would have completed his associate’s degree in electronic engineering at Thaddeus Stevens Trade School. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, particularly of basketball, often challenging his close cousins and friends to informal games on the court. He also had a passion for music and has experience in the industry, writing lyrics and performing in the Philadelphia style of drill music.
Ausar established lasting relationships with colleagues and maintained strong family connections in Coatesville, Philadelphia, and New Jersey. He was well-regarded within his community and known for his kind-hearted, relaxed, and cheerful demeanor. His warm smile and genuine curiosity about life were characteristic of his personality. Tragically, Ausar and a close friend passed away in March 2024, with the circumstances surrounding their deaths still under investigation. Despite this loss, Ausar’s life reflected a dedication to building community, demonstrating ambition, and highlighting important issues related to safety and justice.
We believe Ausar would want to create opportunities for individuals as exceptional as he was. To honor Ausar’s legacy, we established the Ausar D. Scott-Thomas Memorial Foundation, which offers a mentorship program, leadership development workshops, and scholarships for young men pursuing post-secondary education. The foundation’s mission is to support motivated individuals in achieving their dreams, just as Ausar would have if given the opportunity.
